Misty Henderson Music
Misty is a well-rounded singer songwriter with a vast array of experience in different genres being trained in musical theatre vocal technique and a graduate from Monash University with a Bachelor of Music specialising in Popular Voice. Misty is no stranger to the stage, performing original country folk and americana music under the artist name, Misty Harlowe. Starting out, she began her singing career busking accapella in a small country town and now she’s leading her own band with whom she tours with regularly.
She has played at notable festivals, including The Tamworth Country Music Festival, Loch Hart Music Festival, The Melbourne Food & Wine Festival, Bruthen Blues Festival, Tasmania’s ‘Day at The Creek’ Festival, Marysville Music Weekend and more. Dabbling in piano, and accompanying herself on guitar she’s played in a range of ensembles through her tertiary education.
Whether you would like music to be a career, or it’s a passion you’d like to harness, as a tutor, her role is to help facilitate that. A big part of her teaching method is through performance, vocal technique, diving into tips and tricks and bringing a holistic ethos to the lessons. Elements of song writing, theory knowledge and music research are also offered in her lessons.
Misty’s goal is to ignite students; passion and provide the tools they need for their musical journey, ultimately allowing them to forge their own path. Music education is not just about learning notes; it's about fostering a love for music and creating a safe space for students to grow and develop.
